Controversial Islamic speaker and Chairman of As-Sunnah Foundation, Shaykh Ahmadullah, has issued a thoughtful message for those preparing to perform Qurbani (sacrificial animal slaughter) ahead of the upcoming religious occasion. On Tuesday evening, he conveyed this message through a post on his verified Facebook account.
In his post, Shaykh Ahmadullah emphasized that while performing Qurbani is a significant religious duty, it also comes with personal responsibility. “The Qurbani is yours, and so is the duty of properly cleaning up the waste that results from it,” he wrote. He reminded everyone that the same Islam which has made Qurbani obligatory also strongly upholds the principles of cleanliness and hygiene.
He went on to stress that if the waste generated from the sacrificial process—such as the dung, urine, blood, or internal organs—leads to discomfort, health hazards, or harm to others, then the very essence of the Qurbani may be lost. “If your actions during Qurbani cause trouble or illness to people around you, your sacrifice could become meaningless,” he warned. Shaykh Ahmadullah concluded by urging everyone to perform their Qurbani with sincerity and to ensure that the surroundings remain clean, in line with Islamic values.
