The interim government is providing a special grant of Tk 1 crore to purchase and furnish a 1,215-square-foot flat at the government-owned Doyel Tower in Lalmatia, Dhaka, for the family of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.
The allocation was approved by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday (January 20) following a request from the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.
The funds will be drawn from the Tk 6 crore allocated under the “residential buildings” head for the current fiscal year.
However, the handover of the flat will be subject to verification of the identities of Osman Hadi’s wife and children.
