Rajan Dutta (37), a teacher at Dhalghat Apex Coaching Center in Patiya, Chittagong, died by suicide on Friday (January 24) around 8 am near Dhalghat railway station. He jumped in front of a Cox's Bazar-bound train. Rajan, the second of three brothers and son of the late Milan Dutta of Dhalghat Union’s ward 4, was well-regarded as a teacher. A note found in his room stated that he felt his life's purpose was fulfilled and requested no one be blamed or harassed for his death. Jewel Nath, a local ward member, confirmed Rajan’s reputation in the community. GRP police sent his body to the Chamek morgue for an autopsy, as reported by Station Master Rashedul Islam Pavel.
