A violent clash broke out in Pirojpur after a group of seven armed robbers attacked the house of a college teacher late at night, leaving one robber dead and the homeowner and his son seriously injured.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Saturday (April 18) in Kolardonia village under Nazirpur upazila. The injured are teacher and businessman Ujjal Bahadur (51) and his son Mishkaf Bahadur (19).
Locals said the family tried to resist the robbery attempt, which led to a fierce confrontation. During the clash, one robber was critically injured and later died at a hospital, while the rest managed to flee.
The injured father and son were first treated locally and later shifted to Dhaka for better medical care. Police have tightened security in the area and started an investigation into the incident.
