Tea Worker Dies After Falling Into Deep Drain While Carrying 25–30kg of Tea Leaves

Forty-year-old tea worker Meera Hajra died after accidentally falling into a deep drain while picking tea leaves at a tea garden in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar. Her body was recovered later that night beneath the 25–30 kg bundle of tea leaves she had been carrying. Police suspect she sustained a fatal head injury, but the exact cause of death will be confirmed through an autopsy.
