Tasnima Zara, Hero Alam to Contest Against Andealeeve in Dhaka-17 Seat

Ashraful Hossain, also known as Hero Alam, has created a stir by entering elections alongside his acting career. He announced his candidacy for Member of Parliament (MP) in the upcoming national elections, this time planning to contest from 17 seats in Dhaka instead of Bogra. The main contender for Dhaka-17 is Andalib Rahman Partha of Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), with other candidates from parties like Jamaat-e-Islami and NCP. Hero Alam intends to run as an independent but is in talks with several parties. He stated that his participation is both a protest and a call for fair elections. Representing the poor and marginalized, he aims to bring their concerns to parliament. Dhaka-17 covers Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, Mohakhali, Dhaka Cantonment, and parts of Mirpur, with over 3.25 lakh voters.
