In her decade-long career, Dhaka cinema’s popular actress Parimoni continues to be the center of endless buzz, though she rarely gives it much importance. Rumors often link her romantically with actor Siam Ahmed or young singer Sheikh Sadi, while earlier, before her cinema career, she was not known to discuss marriage with her cousin Ismail.
Parimoni addressed these speculations candidly on Maasranga Television’s Behind the Fame with RRK, a rare instance of her speaking openly about such matters. When asked if Sheikh Sadi is her boyfriend, she smiled, “He is like my younger brother.” On her current relationship status, she replied, “No. If I say I am single, no one will believe me… I feel love and affection all the time, and it’s good to have that.”
Regarding marriage, Parimoni revealed she has been married once. She spoke of Shariful Raj, explaining that earlier reports of other marriages seemed like “true husbands” since the divorces were not public. Her first marriage, before her acting career, was with her cousin Ismail, who passed away last year in a road accident; she referred to him as her step-husband. Humorously, she added that she once joked about wanting to marry twelve times, a childhood jest that later sparked rumors.
Parimoni is open about love, going out with her boyfriend and friends freely. She first married soon after adolescence, though it ended quickly. Later, a relationship with director Kamruzzaman Roni in 2012 also ended. Four years ago, she met Shariful Raj on the set of Gunin, and they had a son. Though their relationship ended, the two occasionally meet for their child, while Parimoni focuses on her children and busy acting career.
