Legal advisor Asif Nazrul criticized the recent attack on the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala, India, calling it "disgraceful" in a Facebook post. He alleged that members of the Hindu Sangharsh Samiti vandalized the premises and set Bangladeshi firecrackers ablaze. Asif emphasized India’s responsibility under international law to protect foreign missions and condemned their failure. He also criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her remarks on Bangladesh, urging India to address its internal issues with minorities and Dalits. Rejecting the current government's appeasement policy, he stated, “India should understand that this is not Sheikh Hasina's Bangladesh,” highlighting the country’s independence, sovereignty, and a fearless youth-driven community.
