Content creator Sharmin Shila, widely known as 'Cream Apa', has sparked controversy once again. The children's welfare organization 'Ekai Ek Sho' submitted a memorandum to the Dhaka District Commissioner, accusing her of mentally and physically abusing two children for video content. Following this, Shila issued a video apology from a police station, expressing remorse to the public.
The memorandum, submitted on April 7 and received by Additional District Magistrate Md. Abdur Rafiul Alam, claims that Shila has been subjecting a child to repeated abuse for the sake of online views — including force-feeding, verbal abuse, and altering the child’s appearance against her will. These actions reportedly violate Section 70 of the Bangladesh Children Act, 2013, which prescribes up to five years’ imprisonment or a fine of up to one lakh taka for such offenses.
‘Ekai Ek Sho’ mentioned that the matter is being taken seriously by authorities, and they expect action to follow within three days.
