Alhaj Shamsul Haque Foundation has announced financial assistance of one crore taka for the family of Advocate Saiful Islam Alif, who was tragically killed in an attack by followers of expelled ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das. The foundation’s chairman, Engineer Muhammad Nasir Uddin, made the announcement on Thursday (November 28). He stated, “No amount of money can bring back Advocate Saiful Islam Alif to his innocent child. However, we have decided to stand beside this family, which has become a symbol of the oppressed in the land of Bengal, by offering at least one crore taka as a gesture of support. This assistance will contribute to the education of his young daughter, the medical care of his six-month pregnant wife, the future of their unborn child, and a sustainable income source for his widowed mother, InshaAllah.” The initiative has already begun with an initial deposit of one lakh taka from the foundation’s own funds. People across the country can participate in this effort by visiting www.helpnhelper.com. The total amount raised will be handed over to the family on December 16, the great Victory Day, according to the foundation’s chairman.
