Secretariat Fire May Have Been Pre-Planned, Says Navy Senior Chief

The fire at the Secretariat may have been deliberate, as it broke out simultaneously on the sixth and ninth floors, as well as in the middle of the building. Fires typically don't occur in multiple locations at once due to short circuits, suggesting it could be planned, said Senior Chief Petty Officer (PO) of the Navy, Aminul Islam. On Thursday (December 26), after the fire erupted in Building 7 of the Secretariat, a Navy team was deployed to assist the Fire Service on-site. Aminul Islam shared with reporters, "Everything in the areas where the fire started has been destroyed. We have not fully identified everything yet, but we will. Our Navy team is here and working on it."
