Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon said teachers can “sing wholeheartedly,” but they cannot award examination marks with the same freedom. He made the comment on Monday (August 10) during a press conference at the Ministry of Education’s conference room while announcing the examination results.
Responding to a question about whether teachers had been too strict in marking and what message he had for them, the minister said, “You can sing your heart out, but you can’t give marks with an open heart.” He also described this year’s examination results as a good outcome.
