Saudi Arabia’s oldest known man, Nasser bin Radan Al Rashid Al Wadaei, has passed away at the age of 142, local reports say.
Funeral prayers were held in Dhahran Al Janoub in the southern region of the Kingdom, followed by burial in his home village of Al Rashid, attended by over 7,000 people.
Born before the unification of Saudi Arabia, Al Wadaei lived through the reigns of the Kingdom’s leaders from King Abdulaziz, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia, to King Salman, witnessing more than a century of political, social, and economic change.
According to his family, he completed the Hajj pilgrimage more than 40 times and was known for his deep religious devotion.
He is survived by 134 children and grandchildren. Remarkably, he reportedly married for the last time at age 110 and later had a daughter.
News of his death drew widespread attention on Saudi social media, where many celebrated him as a symbol of faith and resilience.
