Saudi Arabia invites Khaleda Zia to perform Umrah

Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Dhaka, Isa Yusuf Isa Al Duhailan, has invited BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to perform Umrah. The invitation was extended during a meeting at Khaleda Zia's residence in Gulshan on Monday night, confirmed BNP Standing Committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain. The meeting, which lasted an hour, was also attended by BNP leader AZM Zahid Hossain and Enamul Haque Chowdhury. Dr. Zahid mentioned that the ambassador inquired about Khaleda Zia’s health, discussed her potential travel abroad for treatment, and extended the invitation for Umrah. Notably, British High Commissioner Sarah Cook had previously visited Khaleda Zia at her residence on September 5, shortly after her conditional release on August 5.
