FIFA has officially announced Saudi Arabia as the host nation for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, following a special FIFA Congress meeting on Wednesday. Additionally, the organization revealed that the 2030 World Cup will be hosted by six nations: Morocco, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. This marks the first time the tournament will span three continents. The 2030 World Cup will kick off in South America, starting with the opening match in Montevideo, Uruguay, followed by games in Argentina and Paraguay. The remaining matches will take place across Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, making Morocco the first North African nation to host World Cup matches. Both the 2030 and 2034 World Cup bids were uncontested, with Saudi Arabia becoming the sole candidate for 2034 after Australia chose not to submit a bid. The decision aligns with FIFA's confederation rotation policy, which restricted 2034 hosting rights to Asia or Oceania.
