Sarjis-Hasanat's motorcade hit by a truck, suspected as an attack attempt

A vehicle in the motorcade of anti-discrimination student movement leaders Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam was involved in a suspected deliberate attack, resulting in severe damage to the vehicle's front. The incident took place around 7:30 PM on Wednesday (November 27) at the Haji Road Junction in Chunati Union, along the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway. ASI Alim from Lohagara Police Station confirmed the event, stating that a truck had been seized in connection with the accident. He mentioned that a General Diary (GD) is being filed but did not provide specifics on how the incident occurred. Hannan Masud, the movement's chief organizer, shared photos of the damaged vehicle on Facebook to inform the public. In his post, he alleged, "While returning from paying respects at the grave of Shaheed Advocate Saiful Islam Alif, around 7:30 PM on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway near Haji Road Junction in Chunati Union, an attempt was made to assassinate Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam by ramming their motorcade with a truck."
