The group’s Facebook page shared their meeting, recalling Sujon’s iconic image. Sujon shared his disappointment, saying people assumed he received help, but he got nothing. He once called a newspaper using his photo in ads, but they dismissed his request. He wished to meet Nahid Islam and was touched to see Nahid had framed his picture at home. The group pledged to support Sujon, stating, "If people like Sujon Mama do not smile, Bangladesh will not be well."
