Golam Mortoza, Press Minister at the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington, confirmed the details in a Facebook post on Friday.
He said Emirates flight 0582 carrying Limon’s remains will depart from Orlando (MCO) at 8:50pm on May 2 (Saturday), with a transit stop in Dubai before arriving in Bangladesh.
In an earlier post, Mortoza also stated that the first namaz-e-janaza for Limon will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday (April 30, 2026) at the Islamic Society of Tampa Bay Area, located at 7326 E Sligh Ave, Tampa, Florida.
Limon, a PhD student at the University of South Florida (USF), had been missing for eight days before the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Friday (April 24) that he was found dead.
Another Bangladeshi doctoral student, Nahida Bristy, has also been reported missing since April 16, and her body is yet to be recovered. Limon’s body was recovered from the Howard Frankland Bridge.
Mortoza further said that although the repatriation cost is typically covered by insurance and may take time, the Bangladesh Embassy has taken steps to expedite the process at the family’s request. The expenses will be covered by the government through the Miami consulate.
