After the removal of the list from the website of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, the original document of the list of Razakars has also gone missing from the ministry. Ministry officials and employees are blaming former Minister AKM Mozammel Haque for the removal of the controversial list of Razakars. An administrative officer from the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs revealed that Mozammel Haque faced intense pressure from the previous government, as many names of Awami League leaders, including former Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal Advocate Gholam Arif Tipu and former Awami League MP Abdul Latif Mirza, were on the list. To have names removed from the list, Gholam Arif Tipu had submitted separate requests to the Ministry of Law, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ministry of Liberation War Affairs. According to ministry officials, the entire list was ultimately erased by the previous government.
