This time, posters will not be allowed in election campaigns. Each candidate may use no more than 20 billboards in their constituency, with a maximum size of 16 feet in length and 9 feet in width.
Additionally, drones, quadcopters, or similar devices will not be permitted during the campaign period or on election day.
These rules have been included in the draft code of conduct for political parties and candidates for the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
The draft code of conduct was prepared in consultation with proposed amendments to the Representation of the People Order (RPO) and was sent to the Ministry of Law for review on Tuesday.
The code also seeks to prevent candidates from spreading misinformation, manipulating information, or using artificial intelligence (AI) tools to mislead voters during campaigns.
