Police have arrested a woman with 97 bottles of Phensedyl during a raid in the Paikpara area of Tongibari upazila in Munshiganj.
The operation took place at around 3 am on Monday, February 17, resulting in the arrest of Latifa Begum (42), daughter of Siddiqur Bepari from Paikpara village. She was found selling Phensedyl stored in a cupboard at her home.
Tongibari Police Station's Second Officer (SI) Rabiul Islam stated that the raid was carried out based on a tip-off, and Latifa was caught in the act of removing Phensedyl from the cupboard. A case under the Narcotics Act will be filed, and she will be presented in court today.
