Education Minister Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Haq Milon has announced that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman plans to gift “pink bicycles” to female secondary school students as an initiative to encourage them to continue their education. An official announcement on the programme is expected soon.
The Education Minister also said that students who secured GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent examinations will be honoured with awards.
He made the remarks as the chief guest at a discussion meeting held Tuesday afternoon (September 1) to celebrate KUET Day at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET).
