The organization Animal Lovers of Patuakhali distributed around 150 straw-filled jute sacks across the town to give shelter to stray puppies during cold nights.
Members said that jute sacks and straw may seem like simple items, but on cold nights they can offer warmth and safety. They added that love does not always require big actions—sometimes, simply being there makes the difference.
The initiative received support from District Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Shahid Hossain Chowdhury and Municipal Commissioner Md. Juel Rana. Municipal vehicles were used for distribution, and sanitation workers were instructed not to remove the sacks.
