On Monday, January 27, a scene unfolded at Shaheed Abu Sayed Chattar, near Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, where parents were enrolling their children as supporters of Islami Chhatra Shibir. Some brought their younger siblings to fill out the supporter forms, while others took the initiative themselves. This occurred during a publication event organized by Chhatra Shibir.
Reports indicate that in the past two days of the ongoing event, more than 150 students, mostly school-goers with a few university students, have signed up as supporters. Shah Alam, a resident of Misripara in Rangpur, brought his school-age son to the fair. After exploring the event, he filled out his son’s supporter form. Shah Alam explained, "In today’s world, it’s essential to know who our children associate with to ensure their well-being. After observing Chhatra Shibir’s activities, I saw that they not only encourage academic excellence but also focus on moral development. They stay away from drugs. Given all this, I decided to have my son sign up, so he stays away from negative influences and grows into a good person."
