On December 1, Nahid Islam, adviser to the Ministries of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, expressed Bangladesh's longstanding support for Palestine. He highlighted that the fight for Palestinian rights was a key inspiration behind the July uprising and reiterated Bangladesh's dedication to standing with Palestine in its struggle for independence. Islam also mentioned the initiation of the 'March for Palestine' platform in November 2023 to promote solidarity. Palestinian Ambassador Yousef SY Ramadan praised Bangladesh’s vocal support for Palestine, despite the geographical distance, and expressed hope that the current interim government would succeed, strengthening Palestinian efforts. Islam reaffirmed Bangladesh’s unwavering support for Palestine and its aspirations for an independent state. The meeting included senior officials from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
