The court has granted the Anti-Corruption Commission's (ACC) request to arrest former ICT Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak and Shafi Modassir Khan Jyot, son of former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, in a corruption case.
Palak's lawyer, Farzana Yasmin Raki, stated that her client has no income from illegal sources and that all his assets are properly declared in his tax returns. She explained that Palak inherited land and property at a young age, generating income over time. Moreover, he has earned through contracting work, legal practice, and international events over the years.
