Dhaka University (DU) has officially lifted its ban on admitting Pakistani students, signaling a major step towards enhancing academic collaboration between Bangladesh and Pakistan. The decision was announced on November 13 during a syndicate meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmad Khan, with Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Admin) Prof. Sayma Haque Bidisha confirming the policy update. The revised guidelines will now allow Pakistani students to enroll at DU, while Bangladeshi students will have opportunities to pursue higher education in Pakistan. University authorities believe this move will foster stronger ties in education, culture, and other shared interests.
