Amid growing tensions surrounding the recent attack in Pahalgam, located in Indian-administered Kashmir, India has responded by launching a missile strike on Pakistan. In retaliation, Pakistan conducted an attack the very same night. Since the morning, both nations have been involved in intense gunfire exchanges along the Line of Control. According to the news agency PTI, at least seven people have lost their lives in the conflict. However, several Indian newspapers report that the death toll has reached 10. Furthermore, citing the Indian media outlet Sangbad Pratidin, it has been confirmed that the number of casualties on the Indian side has now surpassed 10. Due to the escalating violence, residents from villages near the Jammu and Kashmir border are being evacuated to safer areas for their protection.
