Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the country has avenged the events of the 1971 war through a successful counterattack on Indian forces. While visiting the Pasrur military base, he commended the Pakistan Army for its prompt and decisive response to what he described as India’s unprovoked aggression. Referring to the military action as a historic achievement, Sharif cautioned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi against any future provocations. He also accused India of backing militant groups that operate against Pakistan and issued a stern warning regarding potential threats to Pakistan’s water resources. Emphasizing that Pakistan desires peace, Sharif made it clear that this desire should not be seen as a sign of weakness.
