A large protest, led by former MP Imtiaz Jaleel of AIMIM and supported by various political and social groups, drew over 12,000 members of the Muslim community to demand action against BJP MLA Nitesh Rane and preacher Ramgiri Maharaj for their alleged hate speeches. Despite the significant turnout, the crowd was prevented from entering Mumbai late Monday night, being stopped at Mulund Check Naka. The protest, named the 'Tiranga Samvidhan Rally,' began in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, with hundreds of vehicles from across Marathwada joining the convoy as it traveled toward Mumbai via the Samruddhi Expressway. The rally caused a major traffic jam, marking the first time a protest had blocked the expressway. According to a Times of India report, the crowd reached the Mulund toll plaza on Monday evening. After submitting their demands to the divisional collector and other officials, they peacefully dispersed that night without entering Mumbai.
