Outsider man Caught Disguised as Female Student at JU

A young man, Ashraful Alam Parvez (31), was detained from Nawab Faizunnesa Hall at Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Saturday night after entering the female students’ hall disguised in a veil and traditional attire. Parvez, an expatriate from Gazipur, claimed he entered with a female JU student he befriended online to attend the Him Festival. The student stated they are close friends, while Parvez claimed they share a seven-year bond as Lalon devotees. The female student’s husband denied knowing Parvez. Angry students, citing security breaches, beat Parvez before handing him to police. JU authorities pledged to investigate using CCTV footage and promised strict action against both individuals involved, according to the hall provost and proctor.
