Islamic speaker Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari emphasized the role of youth in ensuring a safe Bangladesh and upholding the red-green flag. Speaking at a Tafsirul Quran Mahfil in Nawabganj, Dhaka, on Saturday (Feb 8), he stated that young students freed the country from fascism through the 24 movement and should now be guided by the Quran and Hadith for the nation's welfare.
The gathering saw a massive turnout, with the Baruakhali ground filling up before noon. Supporters arrived from various regions starting Friday morning. To accommodate the crowd, 30 large screens were set up inside and outside the venue.
Azhari stressed that Islam teaches love and patience, saying, "We also love those who envy and criticize us. Their violence will fail, but our love will triumph." He urged the youth to embrace the Quran and Hadith, emphasizing that religious leaders must spread awareness and work toward a society free from terrorism and corruption.
The event was presided over by Md. Shahjahan Sikder, with Dhaka District BNP President Khandaker Abu Ashfaq as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included religious scholars, legal professionals, and political figures. Maulana Abdul Kader Khan moderated the speeches of distinguished Islamic scholars.
