According to the lawsuit, the alleged abuse occurred between 1997 and 2006, a claim Sam Altman has strongly denied, calling it "utterly untrue." Annie Altman had previously made similar accusations against her brother on social media in 2021, but did not pursue legal action at the time. In the lawsuit, she states that the abuse took place at their family home in Missouri, beginning when she was only three years old.
