Once a PhD Scholar, Now Baking Bread in Gaza to Support Family and Son’s Treatment

Bader Sadiq, a Palestinian PhD holder from Gaza, was forced to take shelter with his family and friends in a crowded school due to multiple Israeli airstrikes. Outside the school, he was hit by shrapnel from a shell, sustaining severe injuries to his abdomen, legs, and face. He has since been in critical condition, battling for survival. Bader’s wife, Sahar, also suffered serious injuries, losing her right eye before being evacuated to Egypt for treatment. This tragedy highlights the severe humanitarian impact and immense suffering faced by civilians amid the conflict.
