Obaidul Quader's personal assistant Motin arrested

Police have arrested Abdul Motin, the former Personal Secretary to Obaidul Quader, the ex-Bridge Minister and General Secretary of the Awami League, in Keraniganj. The arrest took place on Sunday night at a residence named 'Momtaz Mohal' in Char Washpur village, Shakta Union, with confirmation from Keraniganj Model Police Station OC Mohammad Sohrab Al Hossain. Motin, who also served as the Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary for Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League, was found hiding at the location. According to OC Sohrab Al Hossain, Motin was arrested in connection with the murder of Riaz, a student from Ispahani University in Keraniganj, Dhaka. Motin had been in hiding since the fall of the government on August 5. He hails from Char Khagkata village in Mehendiganj Thana, Barisal.
