Dhrubabrata Das, an 18-year-old HSC candidate, tragically lost his life after falling from a building at Notre Dame College in Dhaka. He had gone to the college to collect his admit card for the upcoming examinations. While Dhrubabrata was inside the campus, his father waited outside the gate. Moments later, he witnessed a group of students carrying his critically injured son. Dhrubabrata was initially rushed to a nearby hospital and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Although the exact cause of the fall remains uncertain, some students believe he may have accidentally fallen from a balcony.
