Since Sunday (November 16) night, all members of the prosecution team — including the Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal — have been receiving threatening calls from unknown Indian numbers. According to the prosecution members, each of them has been threatened and verbally abused since that night.
Prosecutor Tariq Abdullah said, “The threatening calls from unknown numbers began yesterday evening. I have received several calls today as well. Most of them came with India’s country code. They warned that none of us would be spared if Sheikh Hasina is punished.”
Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam added, “I have received countless calls. At one point, I had to switch off my phone. Same tone, same words — if their leader is punished, our lives will end.”
Responding to a question, he said, “This is the language of cowards and mass murderers. There is nothing to take seriously.”
