DB Chief and Additional Police Commissioner Rezaul Karim Mallick has announced major reforms in the DB's operations. In his statement, Mallick asserted, "The DB will no longer have Aynaghor or Bhater Hotel. It will not be a hangout spot for celebrity actors or actresses. Instead, the DB will be a trusted place for victims." He stressed that the DB office will no longer instill fear in the public but only in criminals. "We will listen to the helpless and those who have been victimized, ensuring they receive legal assistance," Mallick stated. He also acknowledged past issues, pointing out that some overly ambitious and unprofessional officers had previously tarnished the police force's image.
