NEXT Ventures employee killed by bus, locals and coworkers stage protest in Badda

A tragic accident occurred in Dhaka on Wednesday when a bus struck two women crossing Pragati Sarani. One of the women, identified as Irene, an employee of NEXT Ventures, was crushed under the bus, while her sister sustained injuries. HM Shafiqur Rahman, assistant commissioner of the Badda Zone police, confirmed the incident. The bus driver and crew fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle in the middle of the road. In response, local residents and employees of NEXT Ventures protested by blocking the road, causing significant traffic congestion in the surrounding areas.
