Arif Sohel, Member Secretary of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, warned that a new government would be formed if the "collaborators of fascism" are not removed from the advisory council of the interim government. He made this statement during a human chain event on Monday afternoon (November 11) at the base of the Raju Memorial Sculpture at Dhaka University. Sohel explained, "Initially, we proposed a revolutionary government after the uprising. However, in the interest of national stability, we agreed to maintain constitutional continuity. Yesterday, without consulting us, fascist collaborators were appointed as advisors. If this continues, we will form a new government. We are committed to defending the 2024 mass uprising, even if it means sacrificing our blood." Hasnat Abdullah added, "Students have shed their blood for this uprising. Appointing advisors without consulting us is an insult to students, citizens, and workers. Stop mocking us, or you'll soon call on students to take to the streets. This cannot go on. We will not accept anyone who has supported fascism to be rehabilitated in any form." He further stated, "We demand to know the history of those appointed as advisors and their stance against fascism. If these appointments are based on compromise, it amounts to betraying the students and the people."
