A group of 29 volunteers from the Netherlands has travelled to Panchagarh, Bangladesh, to help construct a permanent facility for people with disabilities under the Agomoni Leprosy and Disability Welfare Organisation. Working side by side with local labourers, the volunteers are mixing cement, laying bricks, and taking part in construction work, motivated purely by a spirit of humanitarian service.
Once completed, the facility will serve as a dedicated centre for rehabilitation, vocational training, and support services for people with disabilities and individuals cured of leprosy. Local authorities have praised the initiative, describing it as a powerful example of international solidarity and compassion in action.
