Starting this June, Nepal will officially begin exporting 40 megawatts of electricity to Bangladesh under a tripartite agreement with India. The export will continue for five months, from June to November.
According to a report by Nepal Monitor, this initiative aims to strengthen South Asia’s energy ties. Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanshyam Bhandari, recently discussed the matter with Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashir Uddin.
