During a joint press conference ahead of the NATO summit in The Hague, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte jokingly referred to former President Donald Trump as “Daddy” after Trump angrily used the F-word while criticizing both Israel and Iran for briefly breaking a ceasefire.
Comparing the conflict to a schoolyard brawl, Trump said, “They’ve had a big fight, like two kids in a schoolyard. They fight like hell—you can’t stop them. Let them go for 2 or 3 minutes, then it’s easy to stop them.”
Rutte, laughing, responded, “Daddy has to sometimes use strong language to get it stopped.”
