Md Nahid Islam, the Adviser for the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology in the interim government, has resigned, according to a source from the Chief Adviser's office on Tuesday afternoon.
On Sunday, February 23, sources from the Jatiya Nagorik Committee and Anti-discrimination Students Movement confirmed that a new political party led by young leaders would be announced soon, with Nahid Islam expected to step down from the interim government's advisory council on Tuesday.
The new political party's debut was officially revealed during a press conference on Monday, February 24, with the launch scheduled for 3 pm on February 28 in front of the National Parliament. Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the National Citizens Committee, made the announcement.
Several sources within the National Citizens Committee's policy-making circle indicated that Nahid Islam could take on the role of convener for the new political party.
