Three Bangladesh Air Force personnel were killed and four others injured after a pickup van carrying Air Force members fell from a flyover at the under-construction third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The accident occurred at around 10:20pm on Monday in the third terminal area. The pickup van lost control while carrying the personnel on duty and plunged from the second-floor flyover to the ground.
Warrant Officer Mahmud, Corporal Pias and LAC Zubaidul died on the spot.
Among the injured, Corporal Sifat (Abu Saeed), Corporal Mahbub and LAC Ahad sustained serious injuries, while Senior Officer Abul Khayer suffered minor injuries. The injured were admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.
