The Detective Branch (DB) Police has released journalist Munni Saha, who was detained from Kawran Bazar in Dhaka, under certain conditions. Local residents reportedly detained her near the ICT Tower in Kawran Bazar around 9:30 pm. A police vehicle later arrived and took her to Tejgaon Police Station. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mobarak Hossain informed Manabzamin that Munni Saha was to be formally shown as arrested. Subsequently, she was handed over to the Detective Branch. Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch Additional Commissioner Rezaul Karim Mallick stated that Munni Saha suffered a panic attack while in DB custody. She has since been released to her family on the condition that she secures bail as a female journalist and cooperates with the ongoing investigation.
