Urdu songs and poetry were featured in Dhaka to mark the 76th death anniversary of Pakistan's founding father, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Speakers at the event highlighted that without Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Pakistan would not have come into existence, and without Pakistan, Bangladesh would not have been formed. The remarks were made on Wednesday, September 11, at the Tofazzal Hossain Manik Mia Hall of the National Press Club in Dhaka during a program honoring Jinnah's legacy. Although the Pakistani High Commissioner to Dhaka was expected to attend as the chief guest, he did not appear. Instead, Deputy High Commissioner Kamran Dhungal represented the commission at the event.
