Begging for the peace of her parents, Mrs. Begum donated 40 thousand taka to the mosque.
The elderly beggar, Mrs. Begum, collected the money through her daily alms, saving notes of 10 and 20 taka, which she then donated for the development of the mosque.
In her words, “This is for the peace of my parents’ souls, and I donated it to the mosque of Allah.” Mrs. Begum lives in a small hut in Nashrathpur Madhya Para, located in the Laksam Municipality of Comilla.
Once employed as a domestic worker, she now relies on begging due to physical illness and old age. Abandoned by her husband and childless, this woman in her sixties is now dependent on the kindness of others. The mosque committee and villagers were all astonished by the generous donation she made.
