Jamshed Rahman and Halima Begum, owners of a small tailor shop in Moghbazar, struggled financially due to high-interest loans taken during the Covid-19 pandemic. As debt piled up, Jamshed considered selling a kidney to repay the loans but found hope when a wealthy benefactor cleared Tk11 lakh of their debts. Additionally, the Iqra Foundation provided Tk4 lakh in assistance and an interest-free loan of Tk1 lakh. Grateful for the help, Halima vowed never to take loans again, as their story inspired many to offer support.
