Missing schoolgirl Arabi Islam Suba from Mohammadpur, Dhaka, has been spotted in Naogaon. However, she fled the area upon noticing the police presence. CCTV footage from Mohammadpur shows the 6th-grade student walking hand in hand with a boy.
According to Mohammadpur Police Station ADC Jewel Rana, the CCTV analysis began after Suba's father, Imran Rajib, filed a general diary. In the footage, Suba is seen conversing with a boy before heading to his house in Naogaon.
The boy’s name is Momin Hossain, and Suba went to Naogaon for love-related reasons. While the police have not yet rescued her, they have reached out to the boy's family for cooperation in preventing the two from fleeing.
Suba’s family arrived in Dhaka last week for her mother’s lung cancer treatment. Suba went missing from the Krishi Market area around 6 pm on Sunday, and the news quickly spread on social media, with many people sharing posts about her disappearance.
It is reported that Suba was a 6th-grade student in Barisal. Her family had recently moved to a relative's house near Krishi Market in Mohammadpur, as her mother began chemotherapy at the National Cancer Research Institute and Hospital.
